Introduction

Psilocybe Caerulipes, also known as 'Blue Foot' because it's foot stains blue upon handling.  These are an exceedingly rare species of psychedelic mushroom, known as Blue Foot in Mexican cloud forests. They grow on decaying deciduous hardwood such as beech, birch and maple.

You have the choice of one of the two specimens with the iNaturalist provenances. The other five are general specimens collected in the same Velacruz region of the cloud forests of Mexico. You can choose from the options tab during selection. These are available as prints only! Please be aware that they are wild collected, so they will have contaminants on them, hence; experts only!

Handling Wild Specimens

These are wild collected prints, as such there will be contamination, bacterial and probably fungal. For this reason they are not prepared as spore syringes. These should be handled with time and care and thorough research is required.

Characteristics

The spores are dark purple-brown and ellipsoid, measuring 7–10 x 4–5 μm with a broad germ pore. Two and four spored basidia; larger spores in two-spored basidia. These are small mushrooms, with a typical shape with a cinnamon brown colour fading to light tan with age.
