Introduction

Psilocybe Hoogshagenii var Convexa is a species of psychedelic mushroom that belongs to the Psilocybe genus of a variety with flat caps.  There is some confusion as to the correct nomenclature, the variety of mushrooms of the Psilocybe Hoogshagenii species which have flat caps are commonly known as Psilocybe Semperviva or simply Semperviva magic mushrooms. For simplicity sake, we will use the common name, Semperviva magic mushrooms when referring to the mushrooms or spores of the flat capped variety of this species.

These are becoming very popular very quickly due to their more 'friendly' nature. They are highly recommneded.

Characteristics

They do not grow in PF Tek types of grow substrates, they are Saprotrophic.  The Semperviva magic mushroom spores we have are from the variety Convexa. This variety has a flatter pileus (cap) without the acute papilla (nipple). The original name; Semperviva comes from 'siempre viva', which means 'forever alive'. This is because of the characteristic for this species to live and respire for a very long time. Growth and fruiting can take twice as long or longer than Psilocybe Cubensis, fruitng after 3 to 6 months after colonisation.
